I have added a new Travel Photography Gallery. I took this image of Sydney Harbor on a South Pacific trip I took with my family. The Sydney Opera House is one of those beautiful places that you have seen in dozens of photographs. The challenge is to try and find a fresh perspective on something so familiar. It was cold because it was winter in Australia, and evening was just coming on. My family was getting hungry. If you are interested in seeing more travel photography please go here, or select Travel from the Galleries menu.
I have decided to redesign my website. It will focus more on my travel photography, fine art photography , hopefully with stories that surround the images. Bear with me over the next week or so as I begin to implement changes, including a lot more photos. I will also begin to sell prints of my photography. If something is not working on your browser, please comment on it. And I will attempt to change as quickly as possible. And let me know what you think of the new site!
Today would have been my mom’s 72nd birthday. Istiharoh Glasgow was an amazing woman because she was filled with flaws and they did not overwhelm her. She expressed great love and it did not seem to have an end. She could be both unconscious of hurting someone and mourn deeply with someone else in their pain. Mom could watch t.v. for hours on end, and write sensitive poetry. She was, like us all, deeply human. And that was how she excelled, in her humanity. Happy birthday mom. We still miss you.
A year ago today, my mother, Istiharoh Glasgow passed from the reality we know as life. She was a source of great strength and guidance to the many that called her friend. She was a talented poet and designer, and as you can see from her expression in this photo with my daughter Inca, loved her grandchildren. She always said people come first, and I forget those words at my own peril.
We all miss you mom.
Those of you in the United States, enjoy the holiday. For those those outside, this is a holiday called Thanksgiving, my favorite Holiday of the year. No photos to post.

Self Portrait in Kitchen
This shot was taken in the kitchen that my mother remodeled just about five years ago now. It was a beautiful kitchen.

Self Portrait with Measurements
This self portrait from my series “Interiors” is taken next to the wall that had marks on the wall to mark our individual growth, shrinkage or stagnation. I presume it has been painted over by the new owners.

Self Portrait In my Old Bedroom
The photo is taken in my latest bedroom in my former childhood house. My daughter Ora was born in this room.
I stand in this bedroom’s dressing room. It was at various times a place where my desk sat, my daughter Inca’s bedroom.
